The textbook is dense, however, it is not impossible to read and understand. Every reading assignment is broken down into small chunks to give you more time to read the information and process what is occurring. While you are reading you want to read EVERYTHING on the page, that includes the maps, pictures, supplemental readings, etc. It is ALL useful information and can be used for unit exams and on the AP exam.
Do NOT be afraid of the textbook, and if you have questions ask. Break up each section and tackle one section at a time.
